The Plug-n-Scan 1200 CP is one of the smallest, most innovative scanners on the market today. Compact design and versatility offers quality scanning without compromise. The 1200 CP includes image editing and photo-retouching software as well as optical character recognition software.

CIS Technology

The Plug-n-Scan 1200 CP features the new Contact Image Sensor Technology (CIS). More compact in size, lighter and energy efficient, CIS eliminates the need for a separated light source, mirror, lens and image sensor of traditional Charged Coupled Device (CCD) scanners.

High Resolution and Bit Color

The Plug-n-Scan 1200 CP features some of the highest software enhanced resolution ever seen. It has an optical  resolution of 600 x 1200 dpi with a maximum software enhanced resolution of 19,200 dpi! The CP's patented BDIT (Bit Depth Increased Technology) enhancement captures a 30-bit color image and enhances it to a brilliant 48-bit palette with over 281 trillion colors!*

* Most monitors and graphic adapters display up to 24-bit color. 48-bit color can only be used with imaging programs capable of input above 24-bit color, such as Photo Express SE.

Compact Design

The 1200 CP is only 16.4" x 11.1" x 2.5" and 5.1 lbs. thanks to CIS technology. Small size, big possibilities!

Easy Installation

Installation couldn't be simpler. No interface cards, no jumpers, no unlabeled switches and no guesswork are needed. The Plug-n-Scan 1200 CP plugs directly into the printer port on the back of your PC. Even more convenient, your printer then plugs into the back of the scanner.

Easy to Use

Launch the Direct Scan program simply by clicking on its icon on the taskbar. Choose the destination for your scanned document from Photo Express SE, TextBridge Pro OCR, Fax, Print or E-mail. Press the scan button and your document will automatically be sent to the proper application. Users who desire more control over scanner settings can bypass the Direct Scan Program and use the Plug-n-Scan 1200 CP TWAIN driver instead.

Valuable Bundled Software

		With the easy-to-use interface of Ulead's Photo Express SE, you can quickly turn your scanned images into greeting cards, announcements and invitations. You can incorporate your favorite images into calendars and brochures or you can just stick to the basics and use Photo Express SE's retouching tools to make all of your pictures look their best.
		With its "Instant Access OCR" feature, ScanSoft TextBridge OCR software allows documents to be scanned for editing directly with your word processing software. TextBridge is powerful and easy to use, capable of recognizing many different fonts at various sizes, quickly and accurately converting scanned documents into editable formats.

Internet File Save Formats

The included image editing software allows the Plug-n-Scan 1200 CP to save in the JPEG file format commonly used for Internet graphics.
