its third CD Rewritable Drive (CD-RW) solution, the MRW-8432, in
May after the release of the MRW-4424 and 4432 last year.
The
MRW-8432, a 8x write, 4x rewrite, and 32x read internal E-IDE/ATAPI
model, performs not only as a CD-ROM drive but also features CD-R
and CD-RW recording functionality which empowers backing-up valuable
data and creating archives in the most dependable and cost-effective
way. Standard plug-n-play Enhanced IDE/ATAPI interface provides
efficient, hassle-free installation and data transfer. 2 MB data
buffer memory insures smooth data stream and worry-free CD writing
every time.
Incorporated with the OPC (Optimum Power Calibration) Technology,
the MRW-8432 continuously monitors the signal level during recording
and adjusts the laser power to compensate when the disc is dirty,
insuring a flatter writing signal that improves reliability.
MRW-8432 provides two software options for the customers: with either
Ahead's NERO Burning ROM or Adaptec's Easy CD Creator and Direct
CD. These options allow multiple recording methods: Track-at-Once,
Disk-at-Once, Session-at-Once, Packet Writing, and Multi-Session.
This all comes free with one free blank CD-R disc and one free blank
CD-RW disc.
