Acronym for Truevision Advanced Raster Graphics Adapter. A video display adapter capable of 32-bit color by Truevision, Inc.

Taskbar

In Windows 95/98, the taskbar is the gray bar that runs along the bottom of the desktop and most open applications (although it can be moved to the sides or top). The taskbar features the Start button and system tray, and it also shows which folders or programs are open by placing their name and icon in the space between. A user can easily switch between "tasks" simply by clicking on the icons on the taskbar for various applications. See Start button, Start menu and system tray.

Template

A predesigned document or image which has spaces or editable points for custom information. Mostly used in word processing (fax forms, etc.) and desktop publishing (greeting card makers, etc.).

TIF-CCITT

Tools

A selection of icons usually found at the top or sides of an application window that perform certain functions when clicked. Most tools will change the mouse pointer into a new shape that indicates that a particular tool is active and that the mouse can now be used to implement the function of the tool.

Transparency

Images or documents printed on a see-through media, such as slides, negatives or overhead projections.
